The City of Segovia, of the autonomous region of Castile and León, boasts of numerous landmarks and attractions. One of the most popular places in this UNESCO world heritage site city is the Alcazar of Segovia. known to be the inspiration of the castle in the 1937 Disney cartoon classic, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. What was formerly a fortress, a royal residence and palace, military academy, and even a prison, is now a major museum, visited by numerous tourists from within Spain and abroad.
