I've uploaded a lot of orchestrations lately, so this one should be a bit of a change in pace.
Here's an arrangement of one of my many favourite Kirby tunes: "Grass Land 4"! Kirby's Dream Land 3 is a great game with a fantastic soundtrack, and this song has always stood out to me. I love the bass line and percussion. I was inspired to cover this song after hearing the new version of it in Star Allies!
My rendition is a little faster to give it a more upbeat energy. I started out staying pretty true to the original in terms of instrumentation, but for the second loop I decided to go for a tropical reggae feel! I listened to a lot of music from Jamaica, Trinidad, and other Caribbean cultures for inspiration. I used steel pan drums, a groovy electric guitar, a reggae organ, some bright brass - I even wrote a little improv on the steel drum! I'm pretty happy with this one, it was such a fun style to experiment with and I think I had a really good groove going!
I hope you enjoy it!
