In this demonstration, Tom shows how to remove the nib and use the Leonardo piston removal tool to service your Leonardo Officina Italiana Momento Zero Grande Pura fountain pen with a classic piston mechanism. Please note that the Piston Removal Tool is sold separately and is not included with the purchase of a Leonardo fountain pen. The Tool is able to remove the piston from a Leonardo Momento Zero Grande, Furore Grande, or Momento Magico fountain pen. The purpose of removing the piston mechanism is to service the fountain pen when there is a decline in pen performance or excessive staining/ink buildup in the barrel. We DO NOT recommend removing the piston mechanism each time you flush the pen or change ink colors.
