The Greater Sage Grouse of Washakie County, Wyoming. Around the first week of March the males sage grouse begin assembling on their strutting grounds called Leks. Actual mating begins about Mid-March depending on the weather. The Female will present herself by lowering and spreading out her wings. Only a small handful of males will be dominant enough to breed.
