Here's part 4 of our Taiwan Travel.
Sharing with you our Northcoast Tour! It's gonna be a fun day trip as we get to explore and enjoy most of the natural attractions in the Northern coast of Taiwan.
The north coast tour is one of the best day tours in Taipei City. If you only have a day to spare from your city explorations, I recommend doing this one.
One of the most popular tourist attractions is the "Yehliu Geopark". It is the home to unique geological formations which also includes the iconic "Queens Head".
Jiufen Old Street is a narrow alleyway lined up with small food stalls, tea houses, souvenir shops and pottery stores. This place is always crowded but still, we manage to take good photos.
The remains of the 13 levels are also called the Beneficiation and Refinery Plant of Shuinan Cave. It was built in 1933 and was a very important facility for the beneficiation and extraction of precious metals during the Japanese occupation period.
Yin Yang Sea. The blue and yellow coloring of this bay brings to mind the ancient Chinese principle of Yin Yang, the natural concept of duality. It expresses a natural balance of two sides of a mutual whole. This awe-inspiring scene provides a perfect opportunity to pause and contemplate what other contrary forces in nature are actually interconnected concepts.
Shifen Waterfalls. It is a scenic waterfall located in Pingxi District. Total height is 20metres and 40metres in width which makes it the broadest waterfall in Taiwan.
Shifen Old Street is the last destination on our Northcoast Tour. The place is a collection of lanes and alleys in and around the Shifen railway station area.
