Israeli forces fired tear gas, rubber rounds, and live ammunition at Palestinians Friday morning in the Northern West Bank region of Beita, Nablus. Palestinians used slingshots to throw stones and return tear gas canisters, and even danced in defiance of the Israeli army.
Israeli settlers vacated the town in July 2021, but the area remains under indefinite supervision of the Israeli army. Protests have been taking place since then, drawing a military response on a nearly weekly basis.
