Discovering more of the Northern Rivers on our Northern NSW road trip, in this video, we share the discoveries made on our last day in the part of the state.
Killen falls was a great walk to the lookout over the top of the falls, but be warned the track to the base and swimming hole can get quite rough.
The Macadamia Castle was a touristy little stop just out of Ballina and had a few different activities including an animal park, frog conversation pod and shop and cafe. The fresh Macadamias were warm, yummy and very Morish.
My Brother suggested we check out Victoria Park nature reserve just out of Lismore for a nice easy stroll and in the afternoon this boardwalk was lovely. This National Park includes a picnic area, toilets and BBQ to make it a great little stop. Along the boardwalk as well as taking the majestic trees, you can also learn about how the local indigenous people used the vegetation in their daily lives.
The Northern Rivers area of NSW is amazing and these three could all be easy editions to any trip.
