Situated on a bend in the river, dramatically perched high above the imposing gorge below lies the ancient town of Toledo. The old town is a UNESCO listed world heritage site, home to significant architecture of the three main western religions. It is known as the city of the three cultures.
We will begin our walk at one of the main city gateways and descend to firstly the medieval bridge before heading further down to walk alongside the river's edge.
