Ilya Boltyanskii, who was born in 1924 in Kamenka and lived there during the war years, recounts how forced workers of the Lyubimovka camp, including himself, were shot in March 1943 at a silage pit in the middle of the camp. The killing was carried out by Germans and Ukrainian policemen. Boltyanskii tells how he fell into the pit alive and how, after the shooting was over, he crawled out from under the dead bodies.
