Once one bikes down into Mission Valley, the options for getting back up to the Uptown or Mid City areas are slim, and require riding further east or west, depending on what kind of grade you want to climb on the way back. After leaving Costco, I decided to get over the SR 15 Bike Path. Here's the ride on Friars Rd, which is an essential road for anyone going through Mission Valley, no matter how they're moving (driving, riding, walking, or trolley).
In fairness, this would have been much easier without the SDSU West construction happening, but that project won't be done for a while, and people still need to be able to get around how it happens.
