The 2025 Hyundai Staria people mover is looking to make a statement on the road. Just look at it! This eight-seater isn't trying to blend in with the crowd in the slightest. And that's probably a good thing given it competes with the all-conquering Kia Carnival, which is relatively conservative in style.
Either way, the Staria has levelled up for the new model year, with rain-sensing wipers added to the long list of standard equipment, while the USB-A ports have been swapped out for future-proof USB-C items. Better yet, BlueLink smartphone connectivity has been introduced, too, allowing owners to remote control some vehicle functionality.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Emily Agar and her family of three spend a week living with the Staria's Highlander flagship to find out how well it measures up against the Carnival and the crop of seven-seat SUVs that family car buyers are flocking to in increasing numbers.
