A combination of traveling, trainspotting and sightseeing. In this episode I take a trip to 2 places in Northumberland. Alnmouth and Alnwick.
Starting at Chester-le-Street I catch the last of 2 northbound Northern Rail trains to Newcastle on a Saturday morning then crosscountry voyager to Alnmouth. After spotting at Alnmouth including catching Deltic D9009 'Alycidon' passing through with 'The Eidyn Burgh Scot' Railtour. I catch the X18 Arriva service to Alnwick and spend a few minutes almost riding a Dennis Enviro 400 like a rollercoaster and it was the same coming back. At Alnwick I have a look around the town and see the old station and Alnwick castle. Once I m back at Alnmouth I have a look around Alnmouth seaside village itself and walking back to the station it rains. The journey back its crosscountry back to Newcastle and then a Transpennine Express class 185 back to Chester-le-Street.
At Alnmouth I catch Deltic D9009 'Alycidon' passing through with 'The Eidyn Burgh Scot' Railtour.
