Valeton wins:
- all amps and effects have unique controls that truly remind of the real gear
- more parameters offered to shape your tone
- separate parameter knobs (three)
- separate PRE effects block to allow use of pitch shifters, octavers and so on together with MOD effects
- you can even stack Detune effect (MOD) with Pitch Shifter/Harmonizer (PRE)
- 10 second longer looper time
- twice as many drum rhythms available
- color screen with much better resolution and visibility
- much more compact
- expression pedal stays at 100% when depressed (HB/Flamma do not)
- has global EQ, separate from EQ effects block
- is not prone to clipping the input signal (Harley Benton often does this, unfortunately)
- clean amps can be pushed into dynamic overdrive if needed

HB/Flamma win:
- USB OTG (for tethering to smartphones and tablets)
- separate master volume knob

Neutral points:
- GP-100 preserves your cab as you change amps, HB/F auto-match cab as you change amps (cannot be turned OFF)
- GP-100 has more delays, reverbs, cabs, acoustic sims and pitch shifters, HB/F have more amps and drives

The Verdict:
Valeton's advantages far outweigh the lack of OTG (which we've never used or needed) and master volume knob. It is basically impossible to consider HB/F's offering given the wonderful design and flexibility of Valeton's GP-100 in the sub 150 bucks category: the HB/F simply lack unique selling points compared to the Valeton. The Valeton GP-100 is by far THE BEST choice in this price category, and even slightly above it. Should you stretch to 290, the Valeton GP-200LT (one of the best modellers of all) awaits, but for anything under, the GP-100 cannot be beaten. Wholeheartedly recommended!
