Actor Elliot Fletcher contrasts his real life experience as a trans individual with that of his Fosters character Aaron -- primarily, Elliot shares, his own family and close friends were very accepting of him when he first came out, unlike his fictional parents who essentially kicked him out of their home.
"Trans experience is very individual," he says.
With such a high percentage of LGBT youth (especially trans youth) experiencing homelessness, Eliot expresses how much he wishes he could have everyone live with him. "I'm just a big dad!" he says.
But still, he wants everyone to know that they are not alone & that they have advocates in the online community, including him, and this will extend into a real life environment where people accept you for your authentic self.
