GOODBYE OLD FRIEND – Milo’s Last Adventure, The Flinders Ranges
John ‘Roothy’ Rooth with his treasured and beloved LandCruiser 40-Series ‘Milo’, take off together on their very last adventure. With a whole lot of chitty chitty bang bang and over a million km's under her belt, the old girl had earned a well-deserved rest. It was time to give her the farewell befitting the much-loved off-road icon that she had become.
Joined by old mates Gleno and Kenno they head off to Bourke, then follow the Darling River all the way to the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. Engaging low range and Milo’s lockers for the very last time traversing some of the most spectacular country, Roothy gets some time alone to say his personal goodbyes to his most loyal and trusted touring companion for over 25 years.
Emotions barely intact, they all arrive at the intended destination Birdwood in South Australia, just in time for John to donate the little green Toyota to the National Motor Museum.
Milo, you will be missed but your legacy lives on, you are part of Australia’s motoring history.
