The Salt Ayre leisure centre is one of the lowest emission sites in the UK, thanks to these massive 1.5 MW heat pumps working in a two stage process alongside water source heat pumps to provide all the heat the building needs without burning anything.

Backed up by a solar farm, this is a truly very low emission building and has helped Lancaster reduce emissions by more than 1000 tonnes CO2 per year.
