A Sika solution built to last - The balustrade
Entrepreneur duo Maddy and Charlotte are renovating a 1950s weatherboard cottage, that they call Millie. The goal here is to turn Millie into a safe and comfortable home for future tenants. Saul is onsite to share his trade tips and to help with building advice and product selection.
Job to be done:
To replace the dated iron balustrade with a timber one, to get a more classic, elegant feel and raise Millie’s curb appeal.
Challenges:
The main challenge was to find a solution for anchoring the new balustrade into the old concrete and fast.
Sika solution:
For anchoring non-structural steel, Sika AnchorFix-1 is the sure choice. Unlike mechanical anchoring, Sika AnchorFix-1 is a chemical anchoring adhesive that requires no mixing, no special gun - it’s one cartridge, and it cures in an hour. Don’t run the risk of cracking your bricks, concrete or masonry, especially when fixing or anchoring close to a corner or an edge.
In the home, around the home, or away from home - There’s a Sika solution, built to last.
