This video is based on Sugarcane farming. If you are a sugarcane grower or are interested in its farming, this is a must watch video.
The video has been shot with senior scientist B.D Jade sir of Jain Irrigation where he tells us the secret behind the growth of these sugarcane plant which is just 55 days old. The plot in which sugarcane is to be grown has been covered by plastic sheets all over. Now we all know “photosynthesis”. So this simple rule of photosynthesis where plants produce food in the presence of sunlight moisture chlorophyll and most important carbon dioxide has been applied. The carbon dioxide present here does not flow away by wind but is retained within the farm. The plastic sheets trap in the carbon dioxide within the area thus helping in more food production leading to better growth.
For all our farmer friends the variety used here for demonstration is 86032 but this process of putting plastic sheet can be used in all varieties. The sugarcane has been sown by single bud method and drip irrigation method is used for irrigation.
