Dating to the Late Victorian to turn of the century this fabulous and ornate Double Albertina watch chain weighs a heavy 60.2 grams and measures 44cm end to end.
Constructed of soft hued 9ct rose gold, that in-between rosy yellow colour that only antique jewellery can achieve, and featuring an interesting design of both faceted belcher links and plain.
Alternating six faceted to then six plain which given the subtlety of the facets all blends tougher perfectly to give this splendid chain a sparkle and glow.
The T-bar measures 4cm in length and the drop from the Albertina is 3cm.
With two large and very sturdy dog-clips with nice tight spring arms, both of which have antique markings for 9ct.
There are various markings on this piece ( see photos ), and their style indicates the probability of Australian manufacture.
With a circumference of 44cm this large striking and heavy piece looks wonderful around the neck and makes a statement when ever she is worn.
