Why is DAP (delivered-at-place) one of the most popular Incoterms rules?
Find out today on Incoterms Tuesday. Delivered-at-place means that the seller has control of arranging for transport of the goods and takes on all the risks and cost of delivering the goods to an agreed-upon location. Once the delivery location is reached, it’s up to the buyer (receiver) to unload, and the risk transfers.
The seller bears the risk through most of the journey. But they also have a great deal of control over the process, and once the goods arrive on-location, they are finished.
