This is a review of the Powertune Engine Tuning Module OBD connector. I have it installed on my 2012 Infiniti M35h hybrid and I would say that it has made a difference for me.

- I paid $80 for this Powertuner on eBay, and for the price I would say it works compared to the competition.
- I can now rev my engine in park with this tune installed, before the car wouldn’t allow me to rev the engine for some reason guess it has to do with the hybrid system but yeah I noticed that’s one thing that changed.
- It took about 200 miles to fully setup and configure to my driving style, all you do is 1 Locate the OBD port in your vehicle. Usually under the dashboard near the steering wheel.
1. With your vehicle off, plug the Power Tune into the OBD port.
2. Insert your key into the ignition and turn to the first position but do not start the car. Skip this step if you have a push start.
3. Press the reset button on the module for 5 seconds & after releasing the button wait about 1 minute. Reset button is the large opening and you will need a paperclip to push it.
4. Start the engine and continue driving normally.
6. Over the next 100-200 miles you drive, the Power Tune will meticulously tune your vehicles Engine Control System to unlock its full power potential.
- I noticed my engine holds my RPMS at high end for longer especially in sports mode and I feel as tho I get my acceleration from stop now, like the car really pulls me back in my seat from a good launch.
- My pedal response time is slightly better than stock, you know from stock it is a delay from the time you press the pedal and from when you actually accelerate , with the tune installed I noticed it feels more responsive and sporty.
- I would recommend this tuner if you just looking for a slight boost in performance and pedal response but it’s nothing compared to a $500-$800 tune of course but you get what you pay for.
- It’s mixed reviews on if it actually works or not, I guess it really depends on your car and how you drive and what you are really expecting out of a tune but I do say it is worth the cheap $80 that it’s worth.
