Some Friends of the Organic Vegetable Project at Chico State University Farm got together Sunday Afternoon to hand thresh the harvest from a field test of 12 different varieties of beans. The beans were planted a bit late in the season and we harvested in November. The vines had been drying in a vacant greenhouse, and the week of sunny weather made for much better threshing. We were in the middle of a conversation about biochar at the time.
