We’ve wanted to visit Vizcaya Museum and Gardens for a while and we weren't disappointed. We visited Vizcaya Museum and Gardens from Downtown Miami and it was quite easy to get to. The Metrorail has a stop at Vizcaya and it’s just a short walk from the station.
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens was built by businessman James Deering and was originally called Villa Vizcaya. It was regarded as one of the finest mansions in Miami, Florida! It really represents the history of wealth and opulence associated with Miami in the first half of the 20th century.
You can explore Vizcaya Museum and Gardens on your own and at your own pace. Inside the house, you can still find most of the original furniture. The Vizcaya Gardens are also really beautiful.
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is one of the top things to do in Miami, Florida and it was one of the highlights of our visit.
We really enjoyed seeing Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and will be back again next time we're in Miami!
