There is a section of the movie that heavily references the original Disney classic which this acts as a sequel to. When Wendy’s daughter Jane is kidnapped by Captain Hook and his crew, mistaking her for her mother, they head back to Neverland on the Jolly Roger, heading to the second star to the right and straight on until morning. During the trip, you can hear the voices and dialogue of various characters who appeared in Peter Pan from back in 1953.
