This drum is #7 of 25 and is made from 600 year old Lake Superior “Timeless Timber” birch. Signed by Johnny and dated 2002. The drum is recently out of the Chicago Collection, from which we are brokering this and a number of other superb rarities. The drum is New Old Stock. Sonically, the “Timeless Timber” drums are superb. The sonic quality is largely due to the fact that this wood rested in Lake Superior for hundreds of years, and the wood itself was extremely old when harvested. The pressure under water worked to further compress the wood. As a result, the sonic properties are wonderful.
