On the 24th November 2012, the Balbriggan Christmas Lights Festival took place on St Georges Square.

All the local children entered a competition to turn the lights on with Cathaoirleach Larry Dunne. The winner was a young lady named Ruby Plunkett who helped Larry illuminate out beautiful town.
