On our walk back through Katmai National Park, we encountered this brown bear mom with her two cubs. We moved away from the path into the bushes as instructed during our bear orientation.
It is a memory I shall carry for life..
The video is not zoomed... and bears were as close as you see them. We followed all protocols as per the park guidelines.
Do not attempt this at any other park. Katmai is a special place to watch these bears in close proximity and at any other park you may get killed if you are this close to a grizzly.
Note: These are Alaskan Brown Bears, larger than the Grizzly Bears. Grizzly is a smaller cousin of the Alaskan Brown Bear.
