Bree Smith is a Dallas based multidisciplinary artist who explores painting, mixed media and mural work. Her practice combines her love of bright colors and science fiction to produce images of Sci-Fi Pop Surrealism. She did not always know this is what she wanted to make and she shares her journey to this niche with us during the episode.
Bree reflects on one of the first explorations that lead her to her work today during her artist residency at the Village Church. She also references inspiration from the Creative Pep Talk podcast, where she has gathered tools to improve her artistic practice. Bree also finds importance in community through organizations like Art House Dallas and various online groups.
