If your UE Boom speaker won’t connect to your Android phone then watch this quick video and I’ll give you some tips you can try. One of the first problems why your speaker won’t connect through Bluetooth is that you may have previously had another speaker or device paired with it. To fix this, find the other device or devices nearby and simply turn off Bluetooth on that device. Then try to reconnect the speaker to your Android phone.
But what if you don’t have another device that’s been connected to your UE Boom or your phone shows it’s connected to your speaker but you still can’t get it to work? Something that might help is to unpair or disconnect the speaker from your phone. To do this go into the Bluetooth settings and find the name of your speaker in the device list. Tap on the gear icon and then tap on Forget. Now power off your speaker and power it back on. At this point press and hold the Bluetooth button until the LED blinks. The UE Boom should be in pairing mode now. Go back into the Bluetooth settings on your phone and tap on the name of your speaker to connect.
If at this point you still can’t connect then a reset might be necessary. Here’s how to reset your UE Boom. Start with powering on your speaker. Then press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time until you hear a chime. The speaker will then turn off. At this point turn on the speaker and it will be reset to factory defaults. All previously devices are now deleted from the speaker. After you’ve completed the reset try to connect again. Hopefully at this point you’ll be able to get your speaker connected to your phone.
