Als conjugation is used in German language to combine Hauptsatz with Nebensatz. It is possible to put Hauptsatz at first and Nebensatz after it or vice versa. This lesson explains the use of conjugation "als", if Nebensatz is put first and hauptsatz comes after it. In both cases we have to use a different sentence structure. This lesson of free A2 German language course explains the sentence structure, if Nebensatz comes first which is followed by Hauptsatz in German language.
In this case sentence starts with "Als", which is followed by the subject of Nebensatz and then comes the object/adjective or preposition. At the last position of Nebensatz comes the verb, this verb is conjugated according to the subject of the Nebensatz. After the completion of Nebensatz, we have to put a comma, followed by a space and then we start the Hauptsatz. If Nebensatz starts with als and Haupstaz comes after it, then Hauptsatz starts with the verb of Hauptsatz, which has to be conjugated according to the subject of Hauptsatz.
Nebensatz mit als is used to describe events that have happened in past and have occurred only once.
