Many parents struggle with the physical distance, as they have been closely involved in their child’s daily life. Being separated by thousands of miles, possibly in different time zones, can be overwhelming. They might worry about how to stay connected and how their child will cope without their immediate support.

Parents naturally worry about their child’s safety and well-being, especially in a foreign country where the culture, language, and systems might be unfamiliar. Concerns about health, security, and loneliness are common.
While many parents feel proud of their children for pursuing higher education and experiencing new opportunities, this pride is often accompanied by sadness. It’s a bittersweet moment, knowing that their child is taking a significant step toward independence and adulthood, but it also signals that they are growing up and moving further away from childhood.

Manny and Jinkee Pacquiao’s daughter, Princess, recently embarked on a new chapter as she flew to London to pursue her college education in the United Kingdom.
The celebrity mom took to social media to share a heartfelt reel of the family accompanying Princess as she settled into her new place. The video shows Manny tenderly fixing his daughter’s bed, while Jinkee is seen happily cooking.
Along with the touching reel, Jinkee wrote an emotional message to Princess, expressing her deep love and support. “We love you, Princess,” she wrote in the caption. Speaking in her native Visaya dialect, Jinkee shared how difficult it is to be away from her daughter, describing the pain in her chest.
“But it’s your dream, we just support you and pray for your life plans. We know you’ll be fine. God loves you,” Jinkee added.
The emotional weight of the moment was evident as Jinkee revealed she teared up while writing the message, and Manny was also secretly crying. The post resonated with many parents who understood the bittersweet feeling of watching a child pursue their dreams abroad.
