Dear Friends,
Our son, Ryan Kendall, attended a very special public school, The John F. Miller School for Special Education, for several years before he passed away in January 2010.
As an infant, Ryan was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder that left him severely handicapped.
It was at this wonderful school, where their motto is, "All Children Can Learn", that Ryan learned to communicate and interact with others while having fun.
Our son enjoyed this school so much that he always had a smile on his face every day he attended.
The children at this school are those you do not see often - they are medically fragile and handicapped. Most are in wheelchairs, and all need someone to help them do the most simple tasks in life.
The John F. Miller School is the only public school in Las Vegas for these children with their very complex and special needs. This school provides a safe, secure and enjoyable environment in which these kids learn and socialize.
The special devices for learning and communicating and doing Physical, Speech or Occupational Therapy are very expensive.
Shortly after Ryan's death, we decided to establish a foundation in his name to help raise funding for the John F. Miller School for Special Education.
We want other children like Ryan and their families to continue to benefit from this one-of-a-kind school, as our son and we did.
That's why we are asking you to give generously to the RKI Foundation, so it can help the students at this unique school.
Thank you for your support.
Todd and Bonnie Iverson
