In this method you can practise your dowsing to identify the process of cooking inside an egg which you are unable to see.
By swinging your pendulum in your no position and asking to be shown when the egg is cooked to how you like it. You can reinforce this dowsing request by telling yourself verbally (out-loud or in your mind) the parameters of when you would like to be notified, in this case, asking - 'tell me when the egg white is cooked firm and the yolk remains runny' You can change this to whatever parameters you like. 'tell me when the egg is cooked firm all the way through'
There are many other foods that need to be timed exactly which dowsing can be used, or which need to be tested if they are ready. (boiled potatoes, broccoli, cakes, bread, roast meat etc)
