Białowieża National Park is a National Park in Podlaskie Voivodeship, in Eastern Poland adjacent with the border with Belarus. The total area of the park is 152.2 square kilometres. It is located 62 km southeast of Białystok.
Białowieża Forest is one of the last and largest remaining parts of the immense primeval forest that once stretched across the European Plain. The forest is home to 800 European bison, Europe's heaviest land animal
Bialowieska – the last natural lowland forest on the continent, honoured with entries on both the List of Biosphere Reserves and the UNESCO list.
Biebrza National Park
Biebrza National Park is a large protected area in northeastern Poland, sprawling along the Biebrza River Valley. Its forests and marshes support hundreds of bird species, including eagle-owls and cranes, as well as beavers, elk and other wildlife. Near Osowiec-Twierdza village and the park headquarters are the ruins of the 19th-century Russian Osowiec Fortress with its underground passages.
