The NNC/FGN has clarified the removal of Zhopra Vero from key positions following his actions in October 2024. Vero held an unsanctioned "emergency" Tatar Hoho on October 21-22, 2024, declaring himself President without authorization. In response, the legitimate NNC/FGN government, led by Brig. (Retd) S. Singnya, impeached Vero from his role as Kedallo/Vice President and removed him as co-convener of the W/C, NNPGs. Ino. P. Puthai Lam was appointed as the new co-convener, confirmed on October 30, 2024. The NNC/FGN expressed concern over Vero's actions, which it deemed a threat to the organization’s integrity and stability. The statement warned Vero against further activities under the NNC/FGN name, such as fundraising or tax collection, or face appropriate consequences.
