Somalia's former leaders gathered in Mogadishu this week at the invitation of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to discuss a contentious agreement reached last month. The government and federal member states had agreed to introduce one person, one vote election and transition from a parliamentary to a presidential system. However, wider consensus from political parties is still needed.
