Dedensen/Gümmer is a location situated on the west half of the Güterumgehungsbahn which is the freight-only line that avoids Hannover Hbf. This part of the Güterumgehungsbahn links onto Seelze RBF so can be very busy with freight. You also have the passenger line with local S Bahn services and IC / ICE services towards Bremen.
