AHRC Connected Communities Podcast
From the local gardening or music club to religious groups and social networking sites, communities (in their many and varied forms) give us a sense of belonging, identity and culture.
The Arts and Humanities Research Council's Connected Communities programme seeks to enhance our understanding of contemporary communities. The Programme involves working across academic disciplines, setting up new partnerships and directly linking research activity with communities.
In this AHRC podcast we hear from Professor George McKay from the University of Salford and Professor Keri Facer from the University of Bristol. Keri and George are both Leadership Fellows for the AHRC's Connected Communities programme.
For those interested in finding out more information on the Connected Communities Programme, The AHRC will be broadcasting a short film that was shot at the Connected Communities showcase event which took place in early March at Congress Hall in central London.
The showcase event consisted of mix of presentations, workshops, interactive and participatory break-outs, posters, exhibitions and performances. It highlighted the rich and exciting research being undertaken through the Connected Communities programme across the UK.
The event was live-streamed through the AHRC website and the live steam footage can now be accessed via the AHRC's YouTube channel by clicking on the following link: [ Ссылка ]
