In addition, Chinese New Year & Lunar New Year or Tết Nguyên đán Trung Quốc is a popular occasion around the world where lion dance can be seen. Also there are animals in the cycle that include 2020 for year of the Rat and 2022 for year of the Tiger or con hổ based on the lunar new year calendar. For those unaware, after the tiger will be 2023 for year of the Rabbit and 2024 for year of the dragon in that order. As for the Lantern Mid-Autumn Festival event that took place here in Boston Chinatown for the public community at the Rose Kennedy Greenway, the large open space is called Chinatown Park and entrance to Boston's historic Chinatown. Chinatown Main Street also hosted lion dance competition including the popular Monkey and Lion Dance performance for the community by Wah Lum Kung Fu Academy.
