Amidst public outcry over the scarcity of new naira notes, the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN is forging ahead with its naira redesign and cashless policies.

The CBN has warned that it will penalise banks that fail to comply with its directive to dispense the newly redesigned 200, 500, and 1,000 naira notes through their Automated Teller Machines, ATMs.
