Carrick Little is a countryside area at the foot of the Mourne Mountains, Co Down, Northern Ireland. There are three carparks where you can parkup for the night for a small fee. I stayed at the top carpark, parked up on a nice flat grass area overlooking the Mountains and down to the little village of Annalong. The carpark was busy with walkers during the day and peaceful at night, there is a public toilet and water tap, no little bins. You pay by leaving money in the honesty box which is watched over by CCTV camera. There are many treks through the mountains, the closest peak is Slieve Binnian, as usual it has a gentle slope at the start of the climb but soon get steep I found it hard to keep the pace having to stop for a rest regularly, I managed about half way before giving up. Up there are great views of the other peaks and down to the Irish sea. Annalong seaside village (see earlier video) is only a couple of mile away, handy if you need some shopping. If you decide to visit/stay over I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
