My Man Mick wanted to get this dessert before the restaurant closed for the summer. Lots of places in the greater Palm Springs / Coachella Valley area close for 3 or 4 of the hottest months. We are not really dessert people but this is a really fun experience. This is one of the specialties at Mitch’s on El Paseo in Palm Desert, California. All Mitch’s food is great try it out next time you are in the desert, after October of course!

This is their Chocolate Balloon Cake.
It is Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Frosting, Vanilla Ice Cream, Granola Oreo Crunch, Dark Chocolate Shell, with Hot Caramel poured over it.

Yes, it tastes as good as it looks!
