This is italy's plan to save the city Venice from going underwater. With the sea level predicted to rise another 40 inches by the end of the century italy has been building this massive 11.000 feet long flood barrier to stop floods from entering the city and potentially killing 100’s of thousands. The flood barrier is supposed to stop floods from entering the city, by injecting compressed air through a system of valves the barriers emerge from the sea. Together they are supposed to protect the city against any floods. Do you think they will be able to protect the city?
