New Ceremony Tipi erected at Pee’zuh (Nipple Rock/Sentinal Butte). The United States and its agencies have neglected to protect this sacred site which should be listed on the Nation Register of Historic Places, it should receive World Heritage protection. The butte is integral to Paiute Shoshone world view & ceremony; this land is the site of 2 massacres of Paiute Shoshone people of which Ox Sam survived in 1865. Ox Sam’s descendants have formed Ox Sam Camp Newe Momokonee Nokotun (Indigenous Women’s Camp). — at PeeHee Mu’huh, Mni Wiconi. This second tipi is here to protect this sacred butte for unborn, for the ceremonies which need to be done here.
