Egypt has reached a staff-level agreement for a $12bn loan programme from the International Monetary Fund over a three-year period.
In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera’s James Bays, Christine Lagarde, IMF’s managing director, said she is optimistic about the measures Egypt is undertaking to restore its economy.
