This is Part II of our visit to the long-awaited Annual Japanese Summer Festival at Japan Village, Industry City, Brooklyn, New York! In this episode you can enjoy with us more Japanese culture happenings of the summer festival, including more shows from traditional Yosakoi dancers, a Samurai Action Sword demonstration and a free Brooklyn-brewed Sake tasting at the local Kuraichi store in Industry City. The day continued with short walks exploring a few other parts of Industry City, including a high-quality clothing company's mini-factory with 3D knitting machines! Our visit concluded with a relaxing evening immersing ourselves into the magical atmosphere created by a group of fantastic Latin-American live music performers known as "Sonido Costeno Trio" at Sahadi's, a gourmet grocery store also located in Industry City!
It is late August in New York city and we have just found out that the 2nd annual Japan summer festival is organized this Saturday (Aug 27th 2022) at the Japan Village at Industry City, Brooklyn, with a very cool list of events including
1) an amazing Shamisen live performance by Yuzu Natsumi combining traditional Japanese music with pop elements,
2) spectacular Yosakoi dances which are typically performed in traditional Japanese festivals (matsuri)
3) impressive Samurai Action Sword demonstrations, and
4) free Brooklyn-brewed Sake tasting at the Kuraichi store!!!
Japan village was a long-awaited visiting destination for us and the annual Japan summer festival was a great opportunity! We cannot wait to share it with you!
