Rockhounding the remote Wah Wah Mountains for green garnets (Grossular).

This area West of Milford, Utah has an abundance of garnets and is a neat area to explore. The weather didn't want to cooperate at first, but as the day wore on, it improved and the sun even came out a bit. I found quite a few smaller garnets and a few larger ones, including some in matrix. I polished up a couple of them and they turned out really neat!

GPS: 38°31'09.3"N 113°35'17.8"W is the general area for the garnets.
