This was installed on a 1998 Honda Shadow 1100 (VT1100C) this part will work on most other Honda shadow models. This fixed my issue with my speedometer not working... if you tried replacing your speedometer cable and your speedometer still doesn’t work you might need this part. You can test it before you buy by unscrewing the top of the cable and watching to see if it spins as the wheel spins while moving. If the wheel spins but the cable doesn’t (and the cable is in good working condition or has already been replaced) then this is most likely what you need. For under 15 bucks and 20 minutes of time you can fix yours too.
