Jean-Marc Robinis Professor of Economics and Head of the Department of Economics at Sciences Po, Paris. He is also Professor of Economics at University College London and a research staff member of the Centre for Microdata Methods and Practice at IFS. His research interests are in the general areas of microeconometrics and labour microeconomics with particular concerns with the economics of and search and matching. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society and was elected to the Council of the Econometric Society in 2009 and the Council of the European Economic Association in 2010. Jean-Marc was joint recipient of the 2006 Frisch Medal which is awarded by the Econometric Society every two years for an applied article published in Econometrica during the past five years. He obtained an Advanced ERC Grant in 2010. He presented the Econometric Society 2009 Walras-Bowley Lecture, the Royal Economic Society 2010 Sargan Lecture and keynote addresses at the 2002 Econometric Society European Meetings, the 2005 Econometric Society World Congress, the 2008 Econometric Society Latin American Meetings and the 2009 Far East and South Asia Meetings of the Econometric Society. Jean-Marc recently completed a term as Co-Editor of Econometrica and has served as a Co-Editor of The Econometrics Journal and on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Applied Econometrics, Economic Journal and Econometrica. He has published extensively in the leading international journals Econometrica, American Economic Review and Review of Economic Studies.
