10. King Aelle’s tried to double-cross Ragnar after sending an empty cart and attempting an attack on the Viking camp. An unsuccessful attack that ended in the King’s brother Aethelwulf’s death.

9. Rollo volunteered to be baptized as a Christian to satisfy Aelle's conditions for his brother's release, but he double-crossed the king, who then attempted to double-cross the Vikings.

8. Harald having been defeated by the English, was saved by Bjorn to offer him a second chance. But instead of staying faithful to Bjorn, Harald plotted to assassinate him, failing his redemption.

7. Rollo betrayed his brother Ragnar by unleashing an assault on the Viking camp, slaughtering women, children, and becoming the ultimate traitor to the Norsemen.

6. Kjetil betrayed Floki’s trust by slaughtering Eyvind’s whole family, leaving Floki devastated.

5. King Horik betrayed Ragnar, who previously supported Ragnar, turned Floki against him, and coerced Siggy into murdering his family.
